Bio

Coach Henry Woodard is entering his third season with the chargers football program as offensive coordinator and 13th year overall. Woodard is a Chattanooga native, having played for head coach Grant Reynolds at Boyd-Buchanan School. In addition to play-calling duties, Woodard will coach the offensive line for the Chargers this coming fall. He has previous coaching experience at the high school and college level, including stops at Faulkner University, Madison Academy, Clay-Chalkville High School, and East Hamilton High School.

At Faulkner, Woodard coached wide receivers and helped the team to its best finishes in school history, with 9-3 records in both the 2013 and 2014 seasons, while averaging 45 points per game during the 2013 season. While at Madison Academy, he helped coach Reynolds lead the team to a 4a Alabama state championship runner-up trophy during the 2016 season with a 13-4 record. In 2018, At Clay-Chalkville, Woodard was part of a 6a Alabama state playoff run with a state semi-final appearance for the Cougars while compiling a 12-2 overall record. Also, while at Clay-Chalkville, Woodard coached standout wide receiver Squirrel White who went on to have a successful career at the University of Tennessee.

Coach Woodard and his wife Brittany have been happily married for 10 years and have two children - Trip (8) and Braylen (4). In his spare time, Woodard enjoys being with family, watching his son play baseball, grilling and beating coach Reynolds at golf.
